Farmstay & Horsey Mini Breaks.

We offer farm and horse stays during which the itinerary is yours to choose - with as much or as little horse-related adventure as you like! There is plenty to do for everyone - relax and enjoy our grounds with a good book, or mooch around with our poultry, goats and horses. Explore our truly magnificent landscape on foot, bike or horseback, or have personalized riding tuition with Wizzy, John and Sam and set off cross-country on a forested ride.

Nanyuki town is only 22km away, so you might choose to hitch a lift into town and go for a nice lunch in one of the many good eateries on offer...or explore the vast, outdoor, second-hand clothes market - the mitumba. Then in the evenings join up for sundowners back on the farm and gather around the table for a hearty, home-cooked meal - indoors or out. Take your choice from the barbecue area or fire pit in the grounds or the lovely dining room inside.

You can be active, or not - there's enough variety here to keep all the members of your group happy with however they choose to spend their day.

John and Wizzy and their team are always on hand to help with anything you need to make these stays truly memorable.

The Farm Base.

The name of the house is "Besotted Farmstay", and it is as it sounds...There is so much to make you love our place too! The extensive gardens, ornamental flowers, rockeries and trees, the veggie garden and fruit orchards, the ornamental chickens, fan-tailed pigeons, herd of dairy goats...even domestic guinea fowl!

Inside the modern farm house we only accommodate up to an absolute maximum of 8 guests at a time - usually groups of friends or families. There is plenty of space to spread out - with two super-sized, ensuite family rooms, and various reception and relaxing areas both indoors and outside. Games areas include pool and table tennis, and let's not forget our large swimming pool area - so incredibly inviting, with its special mountain backdrop.

For those who wish, we have the wonderful Natasha on call for pre-booked salon and massage services on site.

Within the grounds is also our creative sewing workshop - where we design and make our product range. Rachel offers sewing services to the guests too.

Our 5-acre farm base directly borders the Mount Kenya forest at the base of the mountain. Walking, cycling and of course riding the horses in this area is second to none. If you venture out, expect our friendly dogs to want to accompany you!

We have no doubt you will be inspired by our paddocks and training areas for our equine team and their riders - even our most horse-shy guests have often ended up riding with us!

We truly live in a very special place and want to share it all with you.
